PRACTICE PLAN
Implement fun with learning! Each practice includes a 15-minute deck workout, which includes stretching, strength exercises targeting upper body and abdominal's. Swimmers must complete deck workout before entering the water, even if swimmer is late. The deck workout ends with the daily objectives for each group. For example, “this practice concentrates on streamline and glide for breaststroke.” Water workouts will always consist of freestyle warm-up, technique demonstration, drills for the stroke of the day and meeting the objective as well as a Q&A. The 6 & under group will have their own set of goals and objectives to complete. EACH GROUP TEAM CHEER! EVERY SWIMMER, EVERYDAY!
WEEKLY PRACTICE SCHEDULE:
Freestyle warm-up everyday!
Tuesday = Main objectives center on Backstroke.
Wednesday = Main objectives center on Breaststroke.
Thursday = Main objectives center on Butterfly.
Friday = Main objectives center on review, IM, individual starts,
relay starts, circuits and FUN! Start practice – we’ll do this a lot!
